Randall Guensler is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He joined Georgia Tech in 1994 after working in Compliance Assistance and the Executive Office at California ARB, and completing his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at UC Davis. Guensler was Chair of TRB’s Transportation and Air Quality Committee for five years, and served on U.S. EPA’s Mobile Source Technical Advisory Subcommittee. He has served on various National Academy of Sciences committees and panels. Guensler was the Director of Commute Atlanta, a $2.3 million joint value pricing initiative sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration and Georgia DOT, monitoring and analyzing more than one million second-by-second vehicle trips. He recently directed the $2 million study to assess the impacts of Atlanta’s I-85 HOV-to-HOT conversion.
