Senior Director of Public Policy, Rivian

Chris Nevers serves as Senior Director of Public Policy at Rivian. He has over three decades of experience in the automotive industry, policy, and compliance, advocating to federal, state, and international agencies. His background includes leadership roles spanning policy, compliance, product development, and manufacturing across legacy and EV-only manufacturers, the EPA, and the primary US auto trade association.
 

Prior to joining Rivian in 2020, Chris’ experiences include Vice President of Energy and Environment for the Alliance for Automotive Innovation (Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers), EPA Office of Transportation and Air Quality, and several roles at Chrysler. Chris is also a founding Board Member of ZETA, a member of the Michigan Council on Future Mobility and Electrification and a Board Member at Catalyst Mobility (formerly CALSTART).

Chris holds a Master of Engineering (Automotive) from the University of Michigan and a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toledo.
