“It’s pretty clear a lot of people use it as way of behaving safely on Friday and Saturday nights, which are the nights ride sharing is most popular,” said Dan Sperling, the director of the Institute of Transportation at UC-Davis. “Eventually the price of taking Uber will drop a lot and these services will increase tremendously in the future,” Sperling said. “It seems perfectly reasonable to clamp down on drunk driving laws when people have other choices.”
