Study finds challenges in secondary use of electric car batteries

The first two phases of a study funded by the State of California and the U.S. Department of Energy showed that used EV batteries still have a lot of power left in them, said Tobias Barr, assistant program manager the University of California, Davis Plug-in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Research Center, part of its Institute for Transportation Studies.
