How are micromobility providers working to improve the accessibility, infrastructure and adoption of new modes of transportation? As cities begin to embrace new modes of mobility, we must prioritize the needs of our vulnerable populations. Yes, e-mobility helps people get where they need to go faster, cheaper and more easily. But elected officials, local governments, and companies themselves must come to the table to align on how to provide equitable services for all –in particular, low-income, non-English speaking, elderly, and geographically disconnected communities.
Nelle is the marketing lead for JUMP and worships at the altar of physically separated, protected, connected well-maintained bike lanes. Prior to JUMP, Nelle was Deputy Director at the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, the D.C. region’s education and advocacy organization. She’s been named the Alliance for Bicycling and Walking Advocate Of The Year and a Bicycling Magazine Leading Innovator.
