Lisa Aultman-Hall

Biography

Dr. Lisa Aultman-Hall is a Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Vermont (UVM). From 2006 to 2011, she served as the founding director of the UVM Transportation Research Center. She is currently Vermont’s Associate Director for the National Center for Sustainable Transportation (NCST) led by UC Davis. Aultman- Hall’s research program focuses on collection of innovative travel data to study long distance travel, tailpipe emissions, bicycling and rural communities. Her policy research topics include safety, accessibility, and resiliency especially as it relates to planning for climate adaptation. She is active with the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies including chairing the Committee on National Transportation Data Programs and Requirements. She recently served as technical program chair for the TRB National Household Travel Survey conference. At UVM, Aultman-Hall has served on the Faculty Senate as well as steering committees for the university’s incentive-based budget model and system of administrative unit review.
